Q u o t e:
I’ve destroyed 3 mice with mouse turning. It’s still the only viable method of play for PvP and PvE. I grew up with FPS games though, so mouse movement is just the one true way.

Anyone recomend a good gaming mouse?

The logitech G series if you can afford it. by the sounds of it with your mouse destroying gaming you probably can :)

As for the OP

my advice is rly rly rly stick to turning with a mouse, and by that i mean rickclick and moving your mouse means it turns your character as it would in FPS, not clicking to move! I have tried keyboard turning just to see if I could gain anything from it and omg how i hated it. you can’t turn quickly which as you mentioned you need in PvP and as for keybindings well i might be able to help you out a little.

get yourself a mouse with customisable mouse buttons. specifically ones where your mouse wheel can also be moved from side to side (you can then customise those mousewheel movements for actions in WoW, mine are locked as Ctrl+1 ; Ctrl +2 ; Ctrl +3 ; Ctrl +4, as well as the standard middle mouse button and the button used to toggle walking, and left and right click)

aside from that i replaced my Q and E buttons with action buttons too so that I had more easaly accessible buttons (replaced my – and = buttons, that way as a warrior you have two more very accessible buttons that change depending on your stance)
I strafe holding right click.

Then get used to using your shift key! :)
I got used to using only keys up to 5 or 6 as i have rather small hands, so using shift gave me another 7-8 buttons using only my left hand (i use WSAD) (giving Shift +1,2,3,4,5,q,e actions also simultaneousely removes the problem of the main actionbar changing mid fight.

so atm we are up to a minimum or 14 keybound buttons (7 of which (1,2,3,4,5,q,e) change from stance to stance). then add the mouse controls that gives us another 4, and also introduce Shift + mouse controls which gives another 4 for a total of 22 buttons keybound.
When you are in the process of putting your mouse keybindings into the WoW options you should see them come up as “Ctrl + 1″ and “Shift + Ctrl + 1″.

then as my final two i also added shift plus scrollwheel down and up (leaving the normal wheel movements for zooming) i use them for trowing bombs or using Shield reflection Macros.

anyways that brings us up to 24 keybound and easy to hit keys (more if you have bigger hands :P

a quick side note : you may want to make sure that shift + Space also means jump as you will be using the shift key alot it makes it easier to avoid the problem of you’re not jumping when you want to.

so my keybindings are :

1
2
3
4 these change with stance
5
Q
E

Shift +1
Shift +2
Shift +3
Shift +4
Shift +5
Shift +Q
Shift +E

Ctrl +1
Ctrl +2 Extra Mouse buttons and sideways wheel movement
Ctrl +3
Ctrl +4

Shift + Ctrl +1
Shift + Ctrl +2 Shift +Extra Mouse buttons and sideways wheel movement
Shift + Ctrl +3
Shift + Ctrl +4

Shift +Mousewheel UP
Shift +Mousewheel DOWN

IF you find you need more you can always add F; R etc etc using Shift aswell

Setup doesn’t sound bad to me, but it’s not a bad idea to keep a forward, backward, and strafe keys. You can keep them as wasd; but for me, it’s z -left strafe, x-backwards, c-right strafe, and w-forward. But, instead of holding down W, you should set alt, shift, or ctrl w (whichever works for
