Should you start off as a Hunter, you’ll have a bow, ammunition, and a simple melee weapon. Your ranged weapon is more powerful, but its ammunition is limited. Even so, you’ll have enough of it to last you till level four or five. Attack foes from afar to utilize its strength. So long as you follow this guide, you’ll have plenty of money to buy arrows with once you actually run out.

If you decide a Warrior is the way to go, you’ll be buff enough to run right up to foes, and tear them apart. Enemies will drop Leather, Cloth, and Mail forms of armor, and you’ll want the last, strongest kind. This applies to Paladins too, as practically everyone else will have to settle for either Leather or Cloth.

Specifically, the felines will drop various pieces of Cloth armor, including body, arm, and foot pieces, while other creatures—such as the Tenders you’ll encounter later—may drop a bag for additional storage. Feel free to battle against foes until you’ve leveled up a couple times, have accumulated some armor, and a variety of saleable goods.

Practically everything you receive—excess low level armor, body parts from enemies, and so on—should be sold to vendors. Later on, you’ll want to start collecting things to sell on the Auction House, like leather and cloth, but that’s a ways away. Don’t worry about that until the time comes. The normal drops and quests will easily fund your journey to the grand Silvermoon City, and once you’ve reached it, the real adventure will begin!

Aside from the starter quests you’ll encounter within your village, these walkthroughs will guide you through many more, up until your character has conveniently reached a major city. From there, you’ll be able to use the Auction House, a greater variety of vendors, additional means of transportation, and generally enjoy everything the area will have to offer. By then, you’ll know how to fight, manage your inventory, interact with NPCs, and more!
