FAQ

What is The Builder and how does it work?

The Builder is your ability to immortalize your character in whatever way YOU choose. You can choose the character pose, backgrounds, border treatments, add text, and add other foreground elements to make something that is unique to you and your character. Working closely with Blizzard, we pull data from the armory about your character and then pass your character through a renderer that increases the visual quality of the in-game assets so that they will print out at high-quality on a full size poster.

The Image page contains posters I am creating along with snapshots. What are Snapshots?

Snapshots are data files that represent the state of your character at a given point in time. Along with this data an image is stored and displayed on the page. You can use Snapshots to store the evolving state of your character as you level it and as you get better raiding gear over time.

Is there a way to go back and create a snapshot of my character of old gear that I no longer have?

No. Unfortunately you will only be able to snapshot your character with items that you currently own and are equipped at the time.

How do I change out what my character is wearing?

Changes made in the game are not immediately reflected when you visit PrintWarcraft and snapshot your character. In order to do so, you must go into the game and equip whatever items you want on your character at the time. Once you have done so, log out. Wait a few minutes and click on that character in your Character tab. From there you can name and take your snapshot. You must log out in order for the changes to be refreshed.
