Where is my addons menu!!? Lopeppeppy’s Guide on Mod Installation
With edits and updates by Unkle

If the button doesn’t appear on the WoW interface it’s because the mods aren’t installed correctly, (or alternatively, none installed at all).

1. Make sure you only have one copy of WoW installed and addons are in the correct directory. After a reinstall there is the possibility of having two or more copies of WoW on the same system and the addons have been inserted into the wrong folder. This is also common for Windiws Vista users as Patch 3.0.2 or the WotLK installer ask to move your WoW to a non-protected folder.

: Creative Labs Sound Blaster World of Warcraft USB Headset: Electronics

* * * Review Update (03/11/10) * * *

I may end up replacing the video review with something newer later on down the line, but for the time being, I’m leaving it as it is as a reminder to everyone that when you purchase a product of such relative newness, you run an increased risk of receiving an item from a bad batch with potential defects. That being said, if you accept the risks and do receive such an item, you should (obviously) have it exchanged immediately. This particular instance found me fortunate to have been helped by one of Creative’s guys here in the US: Mr. Ryan Schlieper. You can find his contact information in the comments of this review.

So yes, I missed the UPS guy the other day and was forced to wait until today to actually try out the headset. And to be honest, it was a rather painful 24 hours to wait (made even more so by the fact that the replacement set was OVERNIGHTED to me), but obviously I survived. Opening the package, I found that it had been already opened (for testing, as per Mr. Schlieper), but the wrapping and whatnot on the headset itself was still intact. Removing it from the box, I fished through the cardboard cradle in the box to find the USB transmitter.

About World of Warcraft Power Leveling Reviews

Just got done talking with “wing” from wowmine reguarding something that caught my eye in thier Terms of Use (It is in the conversation) Clearly they do not speak english, nor do they know how to answer ‘difficult’ questions to a level that makes any sense. Needless to say, I did not feel like talking to this educated young man anymore. Here it is

Due to a sharp increase of our business, we are currently handling a significantly high volume of chat requests. As a result, waiting time may be longer than usual. The rolling banner on the right is sponsored by MMOMaven.com. Feel free to check it out while you’re waiting for the next available agent. Thank you for holding.

World of Warcraft – English (NA) Forums

As many of you know from panels at last year’s BlizzCon and posts here on the forums since then, Cataclysm will bring about major changes to familiar character stats such as Intellect, Armor Penetration, Defense, and others, ultimately designed to make the effects of stats more easily understandable and make gear choices more interesting. As these changes will have a significant impact on how stats work and relate to one another, today we wanted to offer you a closer look at exactly what’s in store and explain some of the rationale before Cataclysm arrives.

The most obvious question these changes raise is “Why are stats being changed, and why now?” As the game has matured, we’ve run into increasingly complex issues with the current stat system. Many stats are inherently confusing, and the way they interrelate can feel convoluted. Attack Power, for example, currently translates to damage, but so does Armor Penetration. Defense provides five different statistical benefits of varying utility. Mana regeneration involves understanding multiple stats and rules and often ends up being irrelevant anyway. In addition, the difference between a “good stat” for a class and a “bad stat” can be extreme. Some casters want Haste but not Crit; hunters want Armor Penetration but not Haste. There are other overarching issues, as well, such as Intellect not being very exciting for casters despite it being a core stat — and these are just a few examples.

Our ultimate goal is make gear a more interesting (and less confusing) choice by making each stat valuable to more players. While the reasoning behind some of the following changes may be clear, we understand that you may have questions about some of the less obvious alterations, and we’ll do our best to answer any questions you may have here on the forums.

World of Warcraft top 100

How to create your own dedicated game server I created this guide because I received several emails everyday from people who are concerned about their server hardware / hosting hardware. Im having a hard time answering all emails there for Im creating this guide which I will continue to build on as time passes.

When you have choose a game emulator and are ready to start your own dedicated server. You should ask yourself one question though, are you going to host at home or are you going to rent a server at a data center? A Data-Center has the technology to host any kind of server, isnt one server enough? then theres server balancing built in a server-cluster. You can even rent your own rack server if you want. So what kind of hardware should you use? Well dont go and buy expensive server processors like Xeon or Opterons series (Dual Core). These processors are dual core and are for servers but it doesnt mean its the best right? But there are cheaper but better dual core processors/CPU, I would recommend that you have a look at Core 2 Duo (Dual core) or Kentsfield core which is a Quad-Core processor, both are released by Intel. How much RAM (memory) do you need? Well I would start with 2 GB RAM at start, and then upgrade when its needed.

Why pick Dual-Core or even Quad-Core servers? Its a new era, Dual-Core and Quad-Core are todays news. This is a must. You will be able to run both the server emulator and webpage on the same server without any kind of problems. If you are going for a mmorpg server theres plenty of emulators which supports multithreading. But mmorpg servers hold sometimes over 1000 players which require a huge CPU/processor power. Thats why you should pick at least a Dual-Core for your dedicated server but looking at the prices it tells me i should go with a Quad-Core CPU.

GameSpy: World of Warcraft: The Collectable Card Game

There’s a lot of stories generated when a game-licensed movie goes into production, or (to a lesser extent) every time a game company picks up the license for another brainless, action-packed summer blockbuster that gets made into a mediocre game. Far more unheralded, but potentially much more lucrative, is the interesting cross-trade licensing between game developers. Video-game companies have been making titles out of board and collectible card games for years — usually with far greater success than the movies they mimic. Recently, though, there’s a mirror to that trend: board and collectible card game companies adapting video-game licenses such as DOOM and Age of Empires with equal success. Upper Deck, one of the leading collectible trading card companies, clearly hopes to be part of that trend, because it just announced its acquisition of one of the biggest video-game licenses around — World of Warcraft.

“It’s always been important to Upper Deck to get top-shelf licenses,” said Upper Deck representative Cory Jones. “And, to be honest, our designers play World of Warcraft way too much.” According to Jones, the card company was one of several that approached Blizzard with the idea of licensing the IP. The fact that Upper Deck eventually got the nod is attributable to, in Jones’ words, “A shared attitude of quality first. We’re planning on spending millions of dollars to get this product right, and it’s not going out the door until we reach that point. That’s the kind of commitment Blizzard can appreciate.”

World of WarCraft: Cataclysm Hands-On Preview – Shacknews

Recently, I took a trip to Blizzard’s offices to get a look at the latest build of World of WarCraft: Cataclysm, currently in a closed alpha test for “friends and family”. While much of the endgame raid content remains a mystery to me (now I know what non-StarCraft playing journalists feel like when Dustin Browder is explaining Ghost spell kits), I did get to play levels 1-4 of both new races: the Worgen (Alliance) and Goblins (Horde).

The Worgen, previously enemies in the game, are now playable on the Alliance side. Their new starting zone of Gilneas is under attack from Werewolves. The player begins at level 1 as an ordinary human, rushing around the besieged city rescuing civilians and assisting the king. Blizzard uses its phasing technique heavily here to make it seem like the quest-giving NPC’s are following you from objective to objective.

There is a bit of awkward “vehicle”-based gameplay on the back of a horse and most of the quests are standard fair – kill 10 of these, collect 5 of these, rescue 6 people, etc. – but it nicely sets up the player’s deeds in service of Gilneas. This will have some meaning as the player is quickly afflicted with the Worgen disease, turning them into a man-wolf. It is at this point that you find out you were playing a flashback. You jump back to present day in the stocks, called upon to defend what remains from another Forsaken attack.
